Detectives appeal for information following a machete attack outside the Old Crown Pub

Detective Evans, from West Midlands Police, is appealing for witnesses to come forward following a machete attack that left a Birmingham man with serious injuries.

Emergency services were called to Carters Lane in Halesowen, at around 1.15AM on Saturday 25th March, following reports of a disorder outside the Old Crown Pub.

A man, aged 22, was attacked with a machete, causing serious injuries and was taken to hospital for treatment.

Detectives are seeking a group of five or six black and white men who chased the victim and are suspected of carrying out the attack.

Detective Evans, said: “At this stage, officers believe that this was a targeted attack but this kind of violence will not be tolerated. We strongly believe that someone knows who did this and that someone will have information that could prove vital to our investigation.”
