Five days left to donate your unwanted sports gear to BBC project Reclaim Sport in aid of Birmingham schools and community centres.

There are only five days left to donate your unwanted sports gear to BBC project Reclaim Sport. Earlier today (25/11), Olympic medal-winning sprinter and BBC Presenter Katharine Merry and Olympic Gold Medalist Lily Owsley, from the Team GB Hockey Team, helped the BBC Get Inspired team to sort through the piles of trainers, equipment and sports kit that has been donated in our city.

All the donations will go to young people who wouldn’t otherwise have the means or access to get active. With BBC Sports Personality Of The Year 2016 coming from The Genting Arena on Sunday 19th December, the project hopes to give kids from Birmingham the chance to be our sporting heroes of the future.

BBC Get Inspired is leading the project in partnership with Birmingham City Council, Sport Birmingham, BBC WM and BBC Birmingham.

So make room for those Black Friday bargains in your wardrobe and drop off any sports stuff you no longer need in your nearest collection bin this weekend. You can find the full list here:www.bbc.co.uk/sport/get-inspired/37563000 Let us know what you’re dropping off using #HaveMyKit
