The bodies of a husband and wife have been recovered from a family home in the Black Country after what’s believed to have been a murder-suicide.

Emergency services were called at around 2PM on Saturday (05/08) by a neighbour in Pel Crescent, Oldbury, who was concerned by the cries of young children at the address.

Officers attended and found a woman, aged 26, who had suffered fatal head injuries, while the body of a man, aged 30, was also discovered in another room.

The three children – all aged under eight – are being cared for by family members.

West Midlands Police Detective Inspector Jim Munro confirmed that police are not looking for anyone in connection with the deaths.
