PC Mark Crozier, from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit, is appealing for information after a teenage biker sadly died following a collision in Quinton at around 11:45PM on Sunday (09/09).
The 18-year-old was riding a motorbike which hit a tree in Wolverhampton Road. He was taken to hospital with serious injuries but sadly died earlier this morning. Specialist officers will be supporting his family at this time.
The road was closed while initial investigations were carried out but has since re-opened.
PC Crozier, said: “A teenager has tragically lost his life and our thoughts are with his family at this terribly traumatic time.
“We want to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time and may have information to help us establish the circumstances around this collision.
“I am particularly keen to speak to the driver of a white van which was travelling on Wolverhampton Road at the time and may hold vital information.”
