Major roadworks to start on Solihull roundabout.

Roadworks on the Blossomfield Road / Streetsbrook Road roundabout in Solihull will begin on Monday 20th February.

The works are to improve traffic flow and will involve creating a third lane on Blossomfield Road approaching the roundabout and altering the exit from the roundabout to one lane.

In addition, a fourth lane will be created on the roundabout between Prince’s Way and Streetsbrook Road.

A spokesperson from Solihull Council, said: “To minimise disruption to road users, the works will take place between 9:30am and 4:30pm. It is anticipated the works will last for two weeks.

Whilst there will be lane closures, the road will remain open to ensure any inconvenience is kept to a minimum.

Although the Council will aim to complete the work as soon as possible, the construction period may need to be extended in the case of unforeseen circumstances such as bad weather. “
