Man charged with the murder of teenager Kenichi Phillips.

Isiah Wright-Young, aged 36, has appeared at Birmingham Magistrates court today (17/10) charged with the murder of teenager Kenichi Phillips.

Kenichi Phillips, aged 18, was shot dead on St Marks Crescent in the Ladywood area of Birmingham as he sat in a black Seat Leon just before 7PM on Thursday 17th March.


Wright-Young stands accused of murder, attempted murder, attempted wounding with intent to cause grievous harm and two counts of possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life. He was remanded in custody and will at Birmingham Court at a later date!

A woman, aged 24, who was arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender, was released on police bail.

Two other people have already been charged over Mr Phillips’ death.

Dean Silvera, aged 37 from Druids Heath, and Disharn Downie from, aged 18, from Bartley Green, are currently on trial at Birmingham Crown Court accused of murder.
