Man suffers serious head injuries at a club in West Bromwich

Detective Sergeant Lynsey Damms is appealing for clubbers who were out in West Bromwich on Sunday night (05/03) to contact her with information after a man suffered serious head injuries.

Officers were called to the Bing Club on Victoria Street, at around 2:30AM, following reports of disorder at the club.

On arrival, they found a man, aged 27, with serious head injuries outside the premises.

He has been taken to hospital where he is currently being treated. A doorman was also treated for minor injuries to his head during the fracas.

Detective Sergeant Damms said: “Enquiries are on-going at the scene, one man was seriously injured during the disorder and I am appealing for anyone who was at the club or anyone who was in the vicinity in the early hours and who saw anything to contact us on 101.

“We have officers are carrying out forensic and local investigations including examining CCTV.”

A man, aged 27 arrested at the scene on suspicion of assault has been bailed while enquiries are on-going.
