Man suffers serious injury after being bottled in Sobar at the Arcadian.

Detective Constable Rick Sharp released CCTV images after a man was bottled in Sobar at the Arcadian in December last year.

The man, aged 20, was drinking in the bar in the early hours of Friday 30th December when the assault took place. He was on the dance floor when he was hit over the head from behind with what’s thought to be a glass bottle which smashed.

Emergency surgery was needed to repair a damaged artery as a result of the attack where he sustained neck and facial injuries.

DC Sharp said: “Birmingham is a busy city centre where thousands of people come to enjoy the nightlife.

“This attack is wholly unacceptable, the man was enjoying a night out with friends and was on the dance floor when he was subjected to an unprovoked attack.”
