Motorcyclist sadly dies following a collision on Pershore Road.

Sergeant Chris Ridge, from the West Midlands Police Collision Investigation Unit, is appealing for witnesses after a man died in a crash in Selly Park this afternoon (08/09).

Emergency services were dispatched to Pershore Road, at around 2:45PM, following a collision involving a motorbike and a car near the Sir Johns Rd junction.

The motorcyclist, a man, aged 25, was treated by paramedics but despite their best efforts he sadly died at the scene.

Sergeant Ridge, said: “We are also appealing to anyone who witnessed the incident to come forward.

“Our thoughts remain with the family of the man who lost his life and specialist officers are supporting them at this difficult time.”
