Two men posing as police officers in a stolen unmarked BMW police car.

UPDATE 08/05 19:46 – The unmarked BMW police car has been recovered in Kings Heath. No arrests have been made, but police are looking at CCTV. ‬

Detective Chief Inspector Craig Underwood, from Solihull Police, is alerting members of the public to an unmarked law enforcement car with blue lights which has been travelling across the West Midlands area.

Two men in the vehicle have been posing as police officers and have flagged at least one vehicle down.

The woman driver was asked to get into the one series silver BMW (similar to the vehicle pictured); fortunately she refused and reported the matter straight away to police.

The vehicle was stolen from an address in Solihull on between 5-11PM on Saturday (06/05).

Detective Chief Inspector Underwood, said: “We are asking anyone who sees this vehicle to call us straight away.

“A police officer will always show their warrant card as proof of their identity, if this is not shown or you have any concerns then please call us on 101.”
