A cyclist has sadly died following a collision with a car onĀ Alum Rock Road on Sunday (05/02).
Emergency services were called to the scene, at around 12:21PM, to reports of a collision involving a cyclist and a car.
On arrival, crews discovered a man who had fallen from his bike following a collision with a car.
A spokesperson West Midlands Ambulance Service, said: āAmbulance staff immediately began CPR and administered advanced life support as the man was found to be in cardiac arrest.
Unfortunately, it became apparent that nothing could be done to save him and he was confirmed dead at the scene.
A man from the car was assessed for the effects of shock but did not require taking to hospital.ā
Councillor Mariam Khan forĀ Washwood Heath, added: “Awful to hear terrible news of accident on Alum Rock Rd which resulted in sad death of cyclist on scene. Thoughts with his family and friends.”
