Detectives have launched an investigation after a man was stabbed in the city centre on Monday (22/08).
Emergency services were called to Carrs Lane, just before midnight, to reports of an incident.
On arrival, crews found a man, thought to be in his late teens, with stab wounds. He was taken to hospital where he remains in a critical condition.
A spokesperson from West Midlands Police, said: “An area of Carrs Lane and Moor Street has been sealed off while forensic experts examine the scene. No arrests have been made at this stage, but officers are trawling to CCTV to trace the offender and a number of witnesses have been spoken to.”
