Highways company apologises for misspelling Bournville on road signs.

Highways company Amey has apologised for misspelling Bournville on road signs.

Bournville, which is the home to world famous Cadbury factory in South Birmingham, was misspelled twice on the road signs at the junctions of Pershore Road and Bournville Lane.

Amey, said: “We are very sorry for this unfortunate spelling error.

New signs with the correct spelling have been manufactured and we will be replacing the signs this week.

We’d like to reassure people that, under the highways maintenance partnership between Amey and Birmingham City Council, mistakes like this are rectified at no additional cost to the council.”
