The vehicles were stolen from a council depot in Kingswinford on Friday 11th November. A member of the public made the discovery in the canal at around 6:35AM on Monday (21/11).

Councillor Qadar Zada, Dudley Council cabinet member for adult social care, spoke of his dismay: “This is a senseless and appalling crime to steal two vans used for transporting equipment to the elderly and disabled.

I am disgusted that they have targeted the most vulnerable in our community and we take this very seriously.

We have reported the matter to police and would ask people to report any information relating to this theft to them.”

Please call WMP on 101 if you have ANY information.
