Family of seven treated for smoke inhalation following house fire in Bordesley Green.

Emergency services were called to the address on Keeley Street, at around 7.50AM this morning (16/06), to reports of a house fire.

On arrival, all seven family members were outside the property. The building itself had been badly affected by the fire.

A West Midlands Ambulance Service, said: “The 53-year-old father was worst affected after getting his family out of the property. He was treated for smoke inhalation as was his 34-year-old wife.

There were five children, girls of 15, 8 and about 5 years as well as a baby boy and a toddler boy; they too were treated for the effects of smoke inhalation.

“All seven were taken by ambulance to Heartlands Hospital for further assessment.”
