Detective Inspector Tom Hadley has today (18/07) released a CCTV image of a man he would like to speak to in connection with a stabbing on Moor Street Queensway on Monday (17/07).
A man, aged 19, was stabbed twice in his bicep and armpit causing serious injury which will require surgery. He continues to recover in hospital.
Detective Inspector Hadley, who is from West Midlands Police CID, said: “The man we are looking for is black and has a distinctive hairstyle. He has long afro hair worn in two buns high on either side of his head. He was wearing a light coloured hoodie and carrying a ‘manbag’.
“We understand that the suspect was arguing with the victim and we are sure that there are witnesses to the attack who have not yet come forward.
“I would ask anyone with information to contact us on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
