Take control of your future by exploring the diverse range of courses on offer at Aston University.

Aston’s undergraduate courses have one simple aim, to prepare you for life at the forefront of business and industry.

Over the next few weeks Birmingham Updates will be providing content on the following subject areas:

Business – We’ll be catching up with Mike Bandar, founding Partner of Turn Partners, to talk everything business. Mike is a graduate from Aston Business School and has owned and operated businesses since the age of 15.

Computer Science – In 2016, Computer Science was ranked within the top 10 for career prospects in the Guardian University Guide. Join Kamram, a student at Aston University, who will be walking us through what it’s really like to study Computer Science at Aston University.

Law – Studying Law or Law with Management at Aston will not only provide you with the necessary skills to become a successful legal practitioner, but you will also be equipped with essential life-skills for a whole range of professions. Hear from various Aston University alumni and learn about where they ended up after studying law.

Engineering – Watch our Engineering live stream and inform yourself about Aston University’s undergraduate portfolio which has been designed in close partnership with business and industry at home and internationally, giving you an ideal platform on which to build your future career. Students studying Mechanical engineering have gone on to work for companies such as BAE Systems, Army/Royal Air Force, Nissan, Jaguar, and EDF Energy.

Biology – Explore the Lab spaces at Aston University.

Psychology – This course is for you if you wish to study a BPS-accredited course with a broad curriculum that emphasises human behaviour and real world applications of psychology. Benefit from an optional placement year to gain the applied practical skills required to stand out in a crowded graduate jobs market.

Sociology – Sociology at Aston is ranked 6th in the UK for overall student satisfaction (Guardian University Guide, 2017) Hear from students studying sociology to learn what this diverse subject has to offer including a placement year.
