January – Translunar Paradise
Ad Infinitum is a multi-award-winning theatre company and for one night only you can experience a journey of life, death and enduring love. Follow recently widowed William’s life in this poignant, life-affirming tale without words.

February – The Sleeping Beauty
Birmingham Royal Ballet performs one of the world’s best-known fairytales, The Sleeping Beauty. Be amazed as the fairytale is transformed into one of the grandest ballets ever created, with a classical score by Tchaikovsky and original choreography by Marius Petipa. ART is one of the most successful plays of all time. It examines friendships and explores the themes of prejudice and tolerance by observing the relationship dynamic of Serge, Marc and Yvan.

An explosion of sports, music, dance and theatre, Elements of Freestyle is a spectacular new production, delivering a fresh look at urban arts, as the audience discovers the art behind the trick.

Birmingham Hippodrome’s ever-popular family festival returns for Summer 2018. Expect more FREE and fabulous festivities in and around the theatre for two whole days.

August – Matilda The Musical
Matilda is a family-friendly show inspired by the beloved book by the incomparable Roald Dahl. Performed by the Royal Shakespeare Company, the popular story is of an extraordinary little girl who, armed with a vivid imagination and a sharp mind, dares to take a stand and change her own destiny.

September – Taj Express
After a sell-out season in London. The performance rhythmically blends explosive dance with the hits of India’s most iconic composers and is brought to life by the stars of Bollywood cinema.

November – The Nutcracker
The run-up to Christmas would not be the same without watching a performance of the magical Nutcracker. The ballet production has been part of the City’s Christmas tradition for over 27 years and returns to Birmingham Hippodrome this November. Performing: 23/11 – 13/12 Price: From £20
December – Peter Pan
This magical fairytale flight will transport your Christmas to Neverland with the family adventure Peter Pan. With Matt Slack as Smee, you are guaranteed hours of hilarity with this swashbuckling panto.
