An investigation continues into a fatal collision in Bearwood on Monday afternoon (22/01).
A woman, aged 93, was struck by a bus at the junction of Poplar Road and Bearwood Road at around 5PM. She suffered severe injuries before being taken to hospital where she was later pronounced dead.
Bearwood Road (aka Bearwood High Street) was closed between Poplar Road and Hagley Road for several hours whilst officers from the West Midlands Police collision investigation unit dealt with the serious incident
A spokesperson from West Midlands Police, said: “The woman is not being identified at this stage. Her family have been informed and are being supported by specialist officers.”
