Emergency services were called to Selly Oak Railway Station, at around 2PM this afternoon (06/02), to reports of a serious incident.
On arrival, Officers from British Transport Police and paramedics discovered a person had been struck by a train and sadly died.
A spokesperson from British Transport Police, said: “This incident is not being treated as suspicious and officers are working to identify the person and inform their family. A file will be prepared for the coroner.”
Services were disrupted for sometime, but the line has since reopened but there are delays, cancellations and alterations.
