The big day is fast approaching and the 19th May is set to be a region-wide party, what with the FA Cup final taking place on the same day! For those of you who can’t wait to celebrate the wedding of the year, you’ll want to really embrace the royal theme and get right into the swing of things. Luckily, Birmingham is a wash with venues where you can enjoy the day and get that pinkie out while you sip on some champers!

Here are a handful of places you can enjoy the celebrations and make believe you’re a princess for the day:

This is definitely one for the summer lovers. Located under Suffolk Queensway Underpass. City Social welcome a host of traders specialising in food and drinks for you to indulge whilst you watch the coverage. Starting from 12pm you can watch Harry and Meghan say ‘I do’ whilst taking your pick from all that’s on offer. Of course, there will be Pimms, Gin and Champers available to toast. Plenty of street-food will be available and if you fancy a break from tradition make sure to try a burger from the Exotic Burger Shed who offer Kangaroo, Wild Boar and Ostrich options.

Gusto – Bottomless Bubbles

A range of hot drinks are available along with a selection of starters, home-made finger sandwiches, pastries and scones. Particular favourites are the Chicken Liver Parfait, Smoked Salmon Mouse Bagel, the Caramel Chocolate Brownie and the Raspberry Tart. An absolute feast of goodies is promised, just remember that all-important royal etiquette when the treats roll out!

Browns – Royal Wedding at Browns

A gorgeous way to celebrate! Choose between their Royal Wedding Set Menu or their Afternoon Tea option to ring in the big day! Their 5 course menu offers a G&T or glass of Champers to begin and offers a range of traditionally British treats for starters, main & dessert. Ours is an elegant Devon Crab & Prawn Cocktail, Beef Wellington to follow, with a beautiful Bakewell Crumble to end. If something lighter is in order, opt for their afternoon tea. A selection of finger sandwiches, brioche rolls, home-baked scones and mini desserts are sure to satisfy. One of the more sophisticated ways to  celebrate in royal style.
