Police were called to an armed robbery at Aldi on Bearwood Road in Bearwood, just after 11AM this morning (07/06).
A spokesperson from West Midlands Police, said: “A group of masked men – believed to be armed with screwdrivers – entered the store and stole cash from a security worker.
A woman outside the shop was assaulted during a failed attempt to take her car as the men tried to flee the scene.
She suffered minor hand injuries as all the offenders are then believed to have escaped in a white Ford Focus.”
