The Plough welcomes garden pop-up Lickin Chicken as Boca Grande waves ‘Adios’.

One of the area’s most talked about watering holes has recently said goodbye to ‘Boca Grande’ its summer Mexican style pop-up, and whilst we all shed a tear, we should have known the The Plough wouldn’t keep us waiting for its next exciting new concept for long. And so, it welcomes the Lickin Chicken Shack.

The garden take-over will be well received here in our city of chicken chompers, given that various ventures specialising in the same have been popping up across town and beyond over the past few months. One glimpse at the menu and you’ll fall in love. Get a dinner date in the diary soon!

Choose between Deep South, Korean or North Carolina style, with waffles for mains, or alternatively shamelessly feast on a kilo of chicken wings in various flavours including Buffalo, BBQ or Alabama White BBQ, all for just £12 after 6pm on a Sunday. Makes facing Monday that little bit sweeter, don’t you agree?

If Lickin Chicken isn’t your thing, we are not judging (ok…maybe a tiny bit!). You can rest assured, as the pub’s regular menus are still available. Pizzas, burgers, sandwiches, along with classic are on offer each day, so whilst the others get their hands dirty, you can devour something as equally delicious. Everyone leaves happy!
