Although giving up alcohol for the month is commendable, it can have a deep impact on businesses across the West Midlands for the months to come. Given that January can be a slow month anyhow, what with the less than desirable weather conditions and lack of funds due to Christmas gifting. Particularly it can be a struggle for many independents.
And so, was born Tryanuary! A campaign with the mission to get people thinking about quality over quantity. Whilst still encouraging people to cut back on the booze, the initiative suggests we head to independent breweries and bottle shops to try something new, rather than sinking ten pints of the same old swill!
