West Midlands Police are investigating reports of an armed robbery at car garage in Adderley Street in Digbeth at 12.30pm this afternoon.
A man entered the shop and threatened workers with a gun and demanded money, however they managed to disarm him and detain him until police arrived.
The 44-year-old has been arrested on suspicion of possession of a firearm.
