On Thursday 4th June, thousands of people gathered across Birmingham in protest following the tragic murder and misjustice dealt to George Floyd – and as a message to governments across the globe that a change needs to be made, that police brutality and societal predjudices against minorities must come to an end.
West Midlands Police have said that around 4,000 people took part in the peaceful protest around Birmingham city centre this evening. There were no arrests and no disorder.Â
Please see our gallery of images taken at the protest. Thank you to the incredible photographers who sent their images to us, and thank you to the people of Birmingham for demonstrating in an orderly and peaceful manner for such an important cause.
