A man has been treated for serious injuries after he was found with a gunshot wound to his leg in Druids Heath earlier today (24/03).
Emergency services were called to Baverstock Road, Druids Heath at 12:20pm to reports of a man being found with a gunshot wound to his leg.
The Midlands Air Ambulance was called to the scene and the man was given treatment before being taken by land ambulance to hospital for further trauma care.
A spokesperson for West Midlands Ambulance Service said “We were called at 12.20pm to Baverstock Road, Kings Heath, Birmingham. An ambulance, paramedic officer and the Midlands Air Ambulance from Cosford attended. One man was given treatment on scene for serious injuries before being taken by land ambulance on blue lights to hospital for further trauma care.”
A spokesperson for West Midlands Police said: “We were called to reports of a man being found with a gunshot wound to his leg in Baverstock Road, Birmingham, at about 12.25pm today (24 March).
“The injuries are not believed to be life-threatening and our investigations are continuing.”
