Following their sell-out collaboration with Rob Palmer back in September, Sky By The Water, Resorts World’s rooftop bar and restaurant are hosting their first Chefs Special of 2020 next month.
Matt Cheal, head chef of Cheal’s of Henley, along with Aaron Darnley and Darryl Collins, head chef and pastry chef respectively at Sky By The Water will come together to host a Valentine’s weekend dinner set to impress, whoever you’re sharing the love with. ❤️
Feeling the love between the two restaurants on the Solihull/Warwickshire gastro border, guests will be treated to a unique mid-winter six-course tasting menu.
Matt and Aaron will team up on a duo of starters and main courses, including starters of Cornish crab tart with smoked salmon and a Loomswood Farm duck, parmesan gnocchi, passion fruit and a port reduction for main.
Desserts and petit fours will follow from Darryl Collins, including a milk chocolate macaron, mango compote, mango sorbet. Rumours are there’s a vegetable themed ice cream for pre-dessert too.
Head pastry chef, Darryl Collins, is keen to champion local talent, saying:
“We’re constantly evolving here at Sky By The Water, ensuring we surround ourselves with the best in the game from the ever-growing Midlands culinary scene. Not only is Matt a huge talent, just like our first guest chef Rob Palmer, he’s a huge asset to the region and another foodie neighbour we’re proud to welcome here in our corner of Birmingham.”
Places for this special dinner are £75 per person including a welcome drink in the Secret Winter Garden from 6pm, with an exclusive matching drinks pairing available at an additional £30 per person.
Seats at the table are limited and can be booked via [email protected] or by calling 0121 273 1000.
