This Monday (30/10) fans from Birmingham, the Black Country and beyond are donning on their flat caps for the premiere of Steven Knight’s critically acclaimed Peaky Blinders.

To welcome home the gang, Bishopsgate Street next to Cineworld Broad Street is going to become a whole 1920s experience with live music, actors, props and the exterior of the Bull’s Head pub transformed into the show’s iconic pub The Garrison.

Actors appearing in the fourth series of the programme including Cillian Murphy (Tommy Shelby), Helen McCrory (Polly Gray) and Paul Anderson (Arthur Shelby) are to meet fans during the special live red carpet before enjoying a sneak peak of the first episode at Cineworld. The new series will return to BBC Two next month.

Cast of the show also planning to attend include: Sophie Rundle (Ada Shelby), Aidan Gillen (Aberama Gold) Harry Kirton (Finn Shelby), Ned Dennehy (Charlie Strong), Tony Pitts (Inspector Moss) Natasha O’Keeffe (Lizzie Stark), Packy Lee (Johnny Doggs), Kate Phillips (Linda Shelby) Charlie Murphy (Jessie Eden) Benjamin Zephaniah (Jeremiah Jesus) as well as Peaky Blinders writer and creator Steven Knight and the show’s producers.

Over 35,000 people applied for free tickets to the BBC Birmingham organised event and 300 lucky golden ticket winners have been selected at random and notified. Fans can watch the red carpet before joining the cast of the show to be amongst the first to watch episode one of series four.

Golden ticket winners are encouraged to turn out for the very special event in their finest Peaky Blinders outfits and 1920’s themed costumes. If you don’t have a ticket you can still come along to enjoy the red carpet experience and see the stars of the show arrive in this special night for Birmingham.
