An object caught on the overhead electric wires and an earlier signalling problem near New Street Station are causing disruption to services through the station.
Most services are currently experiencing delays of up to 40 minutes and some services are being cancelled.
The disruption is expected until 2PM this afternoon (28/12).
Advice for West Midlands Railway customers:
Additional road transport is being sourced to shuttle between Lichfield City and Lichfield Trent Valley and also to serve Longbridge to Redditch and Sutton Coldfield to Lichfield City.
Passengers travelling between Sutton Coldfield and Lichfield are advised to use train services.
Passengers travelling between Longbridge and Redditch are advised to use train services.
