Europe’s largest portable golfing facility is now temporarily home at the Town Gate in Sutton Park. With the trial period fixed until the end of September, there’s plenty of time to tee off whilst the summer sun shines. The recent spell of bright weather is perfect for a game of golf, so make the most of this attraction whilst you can.
Hours of entertainment is to be had here, with the course fit for all ages and abilities. All in amongst the beautiful leafy green setting of Sutton Park, which boasts tranquil waters and a wealth of flowers and plants to admire. The most peaceful of parks to perfect your swing, that’s for sure! You’ll feel truly at ease at one of the most gorgeous landscapes Birmingham has to offer.
The mighty course arrived on three articulated trailers and takes a team of four, three days to set up. Surely, a relaxing game of golf was well-deserved after those efforts! The facility visits Sutton Park after a journey from the north. Last seen on Sunderland’s sea-front where sports enthusiasts enjoyed its many qualities.
It has visited our neck of the woods once before. Appearing in 2012 at Cannon Hill Park, where it proved so popular with the public, the space saw the 36-hole activity set up shop for an entire year past its planned closing date.
Thanks to Greenspace Leisure’s passion for the great outdoors the course has been designed as environmentally-friendly as possible, with great care to guard all of the specially, sensitive spots the park over. The organisers feel strongly about the issue and are hoping to receive many positive reviews from the people who take part in the sport using this terrific course.
Feedback is highly encouraged, with comment sheets available to fill-in and staff on hand to discuss your thoughts, positive or negative. They promise to listen, in order to constantly improve quality and to (hopefully!) commission a brand-new and bespoke semi-portable free-standing course for park-goers to permanently play on!
What are you waiting for? It’s tee time!
