Situated in the centre of West Bromwich, Central Saint Michael’s adopts a university-style approach to learning, supporting their students transition towards independent learning through a nurturing and supportive environment in a unique facility. With 30 different A-Levels and Diplomas (including new courses such as Criminology, Accounting and Applied Science) and a 99% Overall Pass Rate (which is 12% above average in the area for local schools), 91% of Central Saint Michael’s students progress onto university.

Study Programme: A study programme that contains your chosen qualification, work experience and an enrichment programme. Progression: 30 hours of work experience in your chosen career, careers advice to ensure you are on the right path, help and guidance in gaining a place at university and various events throughout the year to acknowledge and reward your achievements
Activities: Free and subsidised trips, activities and events either as part of your course or for the whole college and the opportunity to gain your bronze, silver or gold Duke of Edinburgh award. You can get to know your fellow students and the sixth form through a Freshers’ Fair and a Students’ Union run by students for students. There are also eleven different sports for you to participate in, use of the college gym, fundraising activities and the chance to be part of the Student Council.
Support: Quiet & Contemplation Rooms provided for quiet reflection and contemplation, a Multi-faith Chaplaincy Welfare Team for personal, practical and impartial advice and a Mentor Team to help you with any problems you may have. There is also a Study Support service to assist with literacy, English & Maths, numeracy skills, dyslexia, and any additional needs plus a Personal Tutor to provide advice, guidance and encouragement.

Are you aiming to go to one of the UK’s top universities? Central Saint Michael’s Sixth Form College offers a High-Flyers Programme for students who achieve an average of a grade 6/B or above at GCSE.
Students on the High Flyers programme are offered the opportunity to study 4 subjects, including the chance to study an Extended Project in Year 2. There is access to additional Masterclasses at Aston and Birmingham Universities, trips to Oxford and Birmingham Universities, access to the Prince’s Trust Scheme, Duke of Edinburgh Scheme and National Citizen Service activities. It doesn’t stop there as you get access to one-to-one placement interview with a Work Experience Co-ordinator and to programmes run by the Social Mobility Foundation – a national organisation that is dedicated to helping students from disadvantaged areas into top universities and careers in top companies.
