An investigation has been launched after the bodies of a husband and wife were discovered at separate addresses in what’s believed to be a murder-suicide.
Police were directed by ambulance colleagues to a property in Linforth Drive in Streetly, just after midnight (26/09), following the discovery of a man’s body.
And around 40 minutes later a woman’s body was found at an address Cofton Park Close in Rednall.
At this early stage it’s understood the woman was murdered before the man took his own life in the garden of the Streetly address. Detectives are not currently looking for anyone else in connection with the deaths.
Forensic post mortem examinations will take place in due course on the deceased who were both aged in their 30s.
Both areas have been cordoned off while enquiries continue to establish the circumstances.
