One of the UK’s biggest and most popular gaming festivals is making its way back to the NEC, Birmingham on 23rd-26th August, for what is expected to be the biggest show yet.
The gaming extravaganza will give gamers the opportunity to test-drive the latest releases, meet and greet their favourite internet sensations, and immerse themselves in the world of cutting-edge virtual reality technology.
Attendees can compete in daily Esports tournaments for cash prizes, participate in live multiplayer battles or simply spectate in the social gaming areas.
Take a trip down memory lane and rediscover the best games of your childhood with the Retro Zone, try a new level of gaming in the Table Top Zone, and see your favourite characters brought to life with the Cosplay Masquerade.
With a whole host of special guests taking to the stage over the weekend to perform live, you can also meet your favourite internet and YouTube stars to grab an autograph or selfie!
Whether you’re a hardcore or casual gamer, come along and join a gaming community like no other. If you fancy taking home a souvenir from your weekend, there will be loads of gaming memorabilia and event merchandise available to purchase.
And to really get that full festival experience, indoor camping is available for anyone 16 years and over. With your ticket, you are allocated the relevant space which can be used for a tent, airbed, camp bed or roll mat.
If you’re wondering what you need bring with you (other than your unequivocal gaming spirit, of course), the event organisers recommend that you bring along the following items to get the most from the weekend: Console/laptop, monitor, keyboard, headset, mouse and mat, Kensington Lock (highly recommended for both PC and monitor), a surge protected four-way power strip, Insomnia BYOC ticket and ID.
