As one door shuts, another opens and that is the case here, as Birmingham waves goodbye to Nosh & Quaff and introduces Jailbird – a New York Seafood and Steak set-up.
Jailbird has the opulent feel of a New York drinking and dining experience, with upscale seafood and steak in stylish surroundings. With the ground-floor lounge offering fantastic drinks including fabulous cocktails.
Sip your favourite drink over a bowl of Kalamata olives, then move on perhaps to black risotto with prawns or maybe a giant cous-cous and flame-grilled asparagus salad. Possibly share a plate of sweet & salty caramel-glazed pork knuckle served with a freshly-baked sunflower & pumpkin seed loaf, apple salad and whipped seasoned butter.
For mains a classic surf & turf comprises grilled lobster with cheesy mustard mornay or a fresh herb garlic gremolata, accompanied by a juicy spider steak. A flat iron chicken smothered in lemon, garlic and herb gremolata dressing served with satisfying chips is also a contender for our choice!
The restaurant opened for a soft launch on Thursday and is pleasing customers already! A unique concept straight to our city, courtesy of the fantastic Lasan Group! Amazing!
