BRUM provides 24/7 access to council services including Waste Management. With BRUM, you’re in control – create a personalised dashboard and get immediate access to a whole range of Waste Management services including: information about Refuse and Recycling, arrange Special Waste Collections, report missed collections and Fly Tipping and request Street Cleaning.

BRUM can also help with more complex forms of waste management, including:

  • Clinical waste. This includes swabs and/or dressings, syringes, needles or other sharp instruments and any infectious waste known or likely to be contaminated. Collections are made on the same day each week, with orange hazardous clinical waste bags provided. You can also request a sharp container collection service from your home.
  • Hazardous waste. This includes things such as paint, paraffin, fence treatment, garden chemicals adhesives, asbestos, chemicals e.g. brake fluid or print toner, batteries, solvents and pesticides.
  • Commercial waste. This includes refuse containers (from 240 to 1280 litres), pre-paid sacks (for smaller businesses), skips, large containers, roll on and roll offs – ranging from 8 cubic yards to 35 cubic yards in size.
