Sunny Beach (also known as Slanchev Bryag) is the largest and most popular resort complex in Bulgaria. It was voted the best value holiday destination in Europe for the fourth consecutive time in the Holiday Costs Report published in 2017. Sample the local dishes including fresh fish and seafood straight from the Black Sea, Borek (a sesame-topped cheese-filled pastry), kavarma stew, drusan kebab or roasted lamb, or cuisines from all over the world at incredibly reasonable prices. For adults, the nightlife attracts popular DJ’s and performers, with live music bars, multi-level nightclubs, casinos, pubs, karaoke bars, and Sunny Beach is particularly famous for its beach festivals. For a quieter evening are numerous cultural programmes on offer at the resort including exhibitions, folklore and symphony concert performances.
