Lorry overturns following a collision with a bus near Longbridge Railway Station.

Emergency services were dispatched to Longbridge Lane, at around 10:30AM this morning (11/10), to reports a collision involving a lorry and a bus at the Sunbury Road junction.

On arrival, crews found a lorry is on its side that was leaking around 50 litres of diesel and a double decker bus that had been in a collision.

A spokesperson from West Midlands Ambulance Service, said: “We were called just after 10.30am to the junction of Longbridge Lane and Sunbury Road. One ambulance and paramedic officer attended. A bus and 7.5 tonne vehicle had collided.

The bus driver, a man in his 50s, was assessed and taken to the Queen Elizabeth for further assessment. A second patient, a passenger from the bus, was assessed but did not require any further treatment. A third patient, the lorry driver in his 20s, was assessed but discharged on the scene.”

The road will remain closed whilst fire crews make the scene safe and collision investigation is conducted.
