A man has been charged with a serious assault after a car hit a police officer leaving her with serious injuries.
The police officer was attempting to diffuse a domestic incident in Hatherton Road, Walsall on Thursday 6th September when she was struck by a car.
Clover Johnson, from Pleck, has been charged with grievous bodily harm, assault, actual bodily harm and causing serious injury by dangerous driving.
He is set to appear at Walsall Magistrates Court this morning (11/09) where the charges will formally be put to him.
