A murder investigation is underway after a man, aged 22, was stabbed to death in Bartley Green Tuesday night (03/07).
Emergency Services were called to Woodgate Gardens, at around 10:50pm, to reports of a man being stabbed.
The man was rushed to hospital but sadly died shortly after.
A boy, aged 16, has been arrested on suspicion of murder and is currently in custody.
A cordon is in place while forensic experts examine the scene and officers are trawling CCTV of the surrounding area to establish what happened.
Detective Inspector Caroline Corfield, said: “We are at the very early stages of this investigation and are trying to piece together the exact details of what took place.
“Officers will be in the area today and I am appealing to anyone who has witnessed anything or has any information they believe could assist the investigation to approach an officer at the scene or to contact us on 101.”
