A man shot in the arm during a raid by West Midlands Police last October has pleaded guilty to firearms offences.
Duane Thomas was challenged by firearms officers as he left the back of his home address in Edgbaston in the early hours of 2 October last year.
The 30-year-old received a single gunshot wound to his arm and officers gave immediate first aid. A firearm was recovered at the scene.
Thomas continues to make a full recovery and on Monday (18/03) he pleaded guilty to possession of a firearm and ammunition at Birmingham Crown Court.
He will be sentenced on 8 April.
A 21-year-old man also arrested at the address was charged with possession of a firearm and ammunition. Demel Lebert, from Shepperds Gardens, appeared at Birmingham Magistrates Court on 3 October and was remanded pending trial.
Five other people arrested were released under investigation.
