Officers from Central Motorway Police Group are investigating the cause of a fatal crash on the M6 on Sunday afternoon (22/08).
Emergency services were dispatched to to the northbound section of the motorway between junctions 10 (Wolverhampton) and 10A, at around 3PM, following multiple 999 calls.
On arrival, crews found a van pulling a trailer, a car, and a heavy good vehicle which had been in a serious collision.
One man has sadly died and one other – described as walking wounded – was treated for his injuries.
The stretch of the motorway was closed until the end of the day while specialist investigators examined the scene for clues. CCTV is also currently being reviewed.
