Marco Pierre White set to host a dinner at his Steakhouse Bar & Grill in The Cube

Marco Pierre White will be visiting his Steakhouse Bar & Grill on Level 25 of The Cube later this month.

Renowned for its spectacular 360-degree view of the Birmingham skyline, guests will have the chance to experience and offer feedback on Marco’s new menu (which he personally devised at the end of 2018) as part of a special evening dinner service on Thursday 25 April 2019, where Marco will be meeting guests and signing copies of his brand new book.

Steak remains at the heart of the new menu with cuts including rib-eye, fillet and Chateaubriand along with a new range of exciting starters, main courses and desserts to try, all of which reflect Marco’s passion for simplicity.

Among the new starter options are Classic Eggs Benedict with Woodall’s Ham, Marco has singled out his particular favourite: Mr White’s Scotch Egg with Colonel Mustard sauce, along with Mr White’s Pea and Ham Soup and Roasted Tomato Soup with Fresh Basil.

Diversity is a theme throughout the menu in the range of main courses, with Honey Roasted Bacon Chop and Classic chicken Kiev, with the Croustade Of Eggs Maintenon Maxim’s Creamy Polenta with Wild Mushrooms being perfect vegetarian options, with fish lovers being treated to stand-out plates including Wheeler’s Haddock Fish Cake with Poached Hen’s Egg and Connaught’s Shrimp Curry,

An indulgent dessert menu, including Warm Treacle Tart with Clotted Cream and Marco’s Rice Pudding with Sherry-soaked Prunes are the perfect way for guests to finish their meal, harnessing Marco’s love for classic dishes cooked to perfection.

Jon Peek, restaurant general manager said:

“It’s fantastic when Marco comes to visit. Our customers love meeting him and it’s great for staff morale as well. Marco has a lot of charisma and is wonderful with the public so we’re really looking forward to welcoming him back.

“There’s always a real buzz of excitement when he visits, and he’s always interested to know how his menus have been received by diners. People don’t realise how hands-on and involved he is and are often surprised to see how much he cares about making sure the menu and restaurant is spot on.”

Jon added: “The menu reflects everything that’s wonderful and exciting about Marco’s food philosophy, with special dishes to suit every palate and budget. Top quality steaks sit alongside a varied range of plates inspired by the best of British and French cooking.

“The menu has been designed to complement the vibrant atmosphere in the restaurant, meaning our guests can feel inspired by the choice of food on offer and enjoy their dining experience at the same time. As with other Marco visits, we’re expecting this to sell out, so anyone interested should get in touch soon.”
