The fast-food chain has been attempting to clean up its act for a while now, bringing in a variety of more health-conscious foods and snacks over the past years. However, this new grilled chicken wrap is the first non-fried Happy Meal option to be introduced to the menu as a main.
The plain option can be spruced up with added extras, including, onion, pickle, cucumber and sauces, making for a tasty treat for little ones. The wrap will feature on the famous children’s menu, alongside old favourites such as: the cheeseburger, hamburger, chicken nuggets, crispy chicken wrap and fish fingers and although those sound like much temptation, this new addition promises to please just like its classic rivals. Sides remain the same with the choice to swap out fries for carrot sticks or fruit bags and fizzy drinks for milk or water.
This will come as great news to parents who may wish to reward their child with a fun meal but who are wary of the way in which the burger-chain cooks its often calorific items. The new product has developed from a collaboration between Mumsnet and McDonalds who reached out to the forum in order to gain a better perspective of what parents wish to be feeding their children.
