West Midlands Police Detective Chief Inspector Edward Foster is appealing for information after a man found badly beaten inside a property in Small Heath on Tuesday night (30/01).
Officers were called to a house in Mansell Road – a multi-occupancy property made-up of several bedsits – at around 7.10PM following reports of a disorder.
A man was found unconscious inside the address and was pronounced dead at the scene. He was pronounced dead just before 8.45PM.
West Midlands Police Detective Chief Inspector Edward Foster, said: “Clearly we are at an early stage of the enquiry but we understand there was a fight inside the address that has led to a man suffering fatal injuries.
“We have identified some significant witnesses and are conducting quick-time enquiries – but we are keen to speak to anyone who was in the area at the time and heard a disturbance or perhaps someone running from the scene.”
