West Midlands Police are appealing for information after a man was attacked at a bus stop in South Birmingham on New Years Day (01/01).

Officers were called High Street, Kings Heath near the old Kingsway Cinema to reports of a man being slashed in the face at around 1:45am.

The 32-year-old man is believed to have been attacked with a glass or a bottle.

He suffered a severe cut to his face and neck and required treatment at hospital.
