Tomorrow (12/05) will see this half-day meditation course commence. Perfect for encouraging you to think mindfully. Helping you to be ready and prepared for Mental Health awareness week, kicking off 14/05.

Everybody is welcome, even beginners are welcome to attend the Kadampa Meditation Centre, where you will spend from 10.30am – 1pm with Principal Teacher Gen Laksang – an expert in the field, with over 15 years of experience in mindfulness and meditation.

For £14 you will gain priceless advice on how to tackle anxiety, which is an incredibly common problem here in Birmingham, given the hectic lives we lead. Sufferers will be able to learn the tips and tricks that can put this uncertain feeling at bay, using meditation methods, proven to work on the many people who find this way of thinking extremely helpful when combating nerves and allowing them to gain perspective. Leksang aims to teach the mind to be calm, inspiring feelings of peace which transfer to inner strength and positive attitudes, apt for tackling the difficult day-to-day.

This is a great activity for a Saturday afternoon, especially if the alternative is catching up on a box-set or going to the pub for beers. This is certain to be a really worthwhile experience. You never know how much this course may change your whole way of thinking!
