Foodies can rejoice as Solihull Food and Drink Festival returns this September across Square, Mill Lane, Solihull High Street and inside Touchwood Shopping Centre, with over 100 food and drink traders showcasing some of the very best that Solihull has to offer.

Open from Friday 27th to Sunday 29th and with an amazing variety of food and drink on offer, a taster tent, family entertainment, a live music stage and the addition of a Rum and Reggae Zone and outdoor cinema, the free event promises to be a fun experience for all the family.

The demo kitchen returns this year with free culinary masterclasses from some of the best in the business, including Michelin star chefs Glynn Purnell and Rob Palmer of Peel’s Restaurant at Hampton Manor Hotel, The Butchers Social from Henley in Arden and many more.

Visitors can expect free tasters from local restaurants in the taster tent, and the live music lounge will be available on the High Street (near the Mason Arms) which will feature a range of live music and the brand new Rum and Reggae Zone, with Friday evening music until 10.00pm, a rum evening with reggae vibes on Saturday until 10.00pm and a more relaxed chillout playlist on Sunday lunchtime. Live music can also be found on High Street on Friday, featuring The Wedding Crashers, Jessica Rhodes Band, Union Avenue and the Tom Barnwell Trio.

Children can join in the fun on Sunday 27th with baking skills for children and making family baking fun, with demonstrations from Great British Bake Off’s Jon Jenkins and Val Stones. They will be joined by CBeebies’ Katy Ashworth who will be hosting a dance and sing-along to get all the youngsters on their feet. Solihull’s favourite Mr Bubble, with new additions Juggling Jim and Froojamaflip and his gardener friend Fred will be providing entertainment too!
