Teen dies after being stabbed in Bordesley Green

West Midlands Police have launched an investigation following a stabbing in Bordesley Green (25/02).

Police were called to Norwood Road, Bordesley Green, just after 2pm.

A boy who is believed to be aged 17 was found seriously injured. Sadly, nothing could be done to save him and he was pronounced dead at the scene.

The investigation is at an early stage, and no arrests have yet been made.

Officers are speaking to witnesses and identifying CCTV.

The scene remains sealed off this evening.

Officers will also be using Section 60 powers, giving them the ability to stop and search people without reasonable grounds where they believe there to be a risk of violence.
