A 16-year-old has been arrested after three other teenagers were injured in a disturbance near to Joseph Chamberlain College this afternoon (13/02).
Officers were called at around 4.10pm and one boy aged 16 was taken to hospital in a critical condition.
He is believed to have suffered stab wounds to the chest.
A 19-year-old was left with minor cuts to his back and his hand, while an 18-year-old was also treated for a cut to his hand.
The investigation is at an early stage, and officers remain at the scene this evening. Roads surrounding the college remain open and bus services are operating as normal.
The teenage suspect was arrested nearby and will be questioned in due course.
The college issued a statement on its website saying: “We can confirm an incident has occurred at College but at this moment we are unable to comment or give further details. We have made the decision to close the college tomorrow and will not be opening until after the half term break. This means the Parent & Carer Progress Evening has been cancelled”
